Growing up, Iris was a star player at her club, SCHC, and made her first team debut at a young age. Despite her playing at one of the highest levels possible in the Netherlands, she made the bold move to play college hockey in the US. After careful consideration, she chose Rutgers University, home of one of the top field hockey programs in the nation. From the moment she stepped on campus, it was clear that Iris was a special talent. She quickly established herself as a key player for the team with her tenacity, skill, and leadership. In her first season, Iris and her team made history by winning the Big10 championship. Iris played a key role in the team's success. In her second year, she continued to excel, leading the team in total points for goals and assists. Earning her numerous awards, such as First Team All Big10 and 3rd Team All-American. Iris Langejans is a shining example of what can be achieved with talent, hard work, and determination.
